Jovenel Moïse – the President of Haiti had been assassinated at his home. News going around from the office of Claude Joseph, the interim Prime Minister of Haiti, is that he has been killed. He was killed in his private residence in Port-au-Prince around 1:00 am local time on Wednesday, July 7.
In the statement describing his untimely demise, Claude said that:
he was fatally wounded by a group of unidentified men, some of whom were speaking the Spanish Language.
The Prime Minister (Claude Joseph) has called for calmness in the country. He has ensured that the police and armed forces are taking control of the entire situation. Claude is doing this to ensure that there is no chaos and trouble in the Nation. Unfortunately, the assailants who assassinated the President of Haiti Jovenel Moïse at his home also attacked his wife.
His wife Martine Moïse – The First Lady, was severely wounded in the attack. Right now, she is at an undisclosed hospital taking treatment.
Remember that in February, Moïse laid some accusations on some persons who he claims were trying to kill him. In his statement:
There was an attempt on my life. That plan was aborted, he had said.
Following his accusations, more than Twenty (20) persons, including an Inspector-General of police and a supreme court Judge were arrested. It’s quite unfortunate that Jovonel Moïse, President of Haiti was assassinated. May his soul rest in peace, and his killers brought to justice. What do you think about this post?
