Nigerian hip-pop artist and songwriter de amazing Lord Blaze has made top 10 finalists for Fair Play 2020. The nominee list of the top finalists in the world was made public on Friday on the anti-corruption music website. Lord Blaze got the nomination for his song entry “Shadows” which speaks against anti-corruption and social injustice in Nigeria.

Fair Play is a youth-driven anti-corruption music initiative calling on young musicians from around the globe to submit songs speaking out against corruption in their communities, raising global awareness around the most important issues of our time, building a network of solidarity, and sounding a new generation of artivism. Fair Play is organized by JM International, the world’s largest youth-music nonprofit together with Transparency International, the world’s leading body in the fight against corruption.
About Lord Blaze
Lord Blaze is an independent Nigerian music artist and songwriter. He has been in the music scene since 2012. He always believes music is a strong tool for reaching out to people and sharing social messages. His song “Shadows” is a song off his forthcoming Extended Play (EP) “Road To Olympus”. The song talks about anti-corruption and social injustice in Nigeria.
The 10 shortlisted finalists were selected among Fair Play entries for the 2020 Competition, from over 60 applications for 21 different countries. Together with the Fair Play Ambassadors, JM International and Transparent International will select the top 3 bands from them. The top 3 finalists will perform at this year’s Digital Edition of the IACC. The IACC is the International Anti-Corruption Conference which is to hold from 1 to 4 December in Busan, South Korea.
The 3 winners will also receive a cash prize to support their local anti-corruption efforts. The winners will be announced on November 9th, 2020.
